jarneyd Loc: New England

Anyone remember this old movie film re wound into 35mm containers? My son got a few rolls from his Aunt and I didn't realize he put in the underwater camera we took to Aruba. So now the dilemma, Who can process it? It may be to old to even capture a decent image but I gotta try. Thanks in advance

It became PhotoWorks and was purchased by American Greetings in 2010, after which it stopped processing film. PhotoWorks ceased all operations last year, selling it's customer list to Shutterfly.

I found one lab in Colorado that will process it, but they are charging $36.50 per roll. Try Googling "ecn-2 film processing" and see if you can come up with a better deal. Apparently the Kodak C-41 will not properly process it.

For anyone else that may find some in a drawer, and they are adventurous, here's the processing specifications from Kodak:

Festina Lente Loc: Florida & Missouri

I used to use this film and Seattle Film Works for years. A most regettable decision. All of my 35mm slides are rapidly fading, a product of the film's lack of stability and sloppy chemistry by SFW. My Fuji and Kodak slides are as good as they day they were developed. All were stored properly and side-by-side.

I would question whether the quality of the undeveloped film (even if it was stored in a freezer) would be worth paying a premium to have it developed today.

He didn't shoot anything that was incredible. but I would like to see them but only at a reasonable price. I will google it as suggested and see what comes up. Thanks All.

yes I remember that film. used it quite a bit. I think you might want to check andy drug store to see if they still send out film like that. may want to check any camera store too.

I tried that with Ritz, once - they wouldn't touch it. The problem is, it has to be processed a certain way, and only a few labs can do it.

And, it will spoil all the C-41 chemistry in the machine IF a roll of film is developed in the machine. All the chemistry must be drained & the machine thoroughly cleaned. A HUGE & expensivejob!

Swan did a great job. I was pleasantly surprised that the shots I took in May 2007, stored the film in a closet until May 2010, came out quite well.
It was $8.99 per roll (24 or 36 exp same price), no prints, processing only + CD and a contact sheet. I had 13 rolls of print film 100 to 400 ASA. The shipping was $10.99 UPS ground (unlimited rolls) not bad considering they are in CA and I'm in S. FL.
I got 5 rolls of slide film processed and mounted in GEPE plastic frames, with a CD too . That was $14.95 a roll + $10.99 shipping.

I found a company that processes the film at a reasonable price.
I had been given a camera after my dad passed away, and the camera had some of this film in it; plus there was a roll he had already taken and not processed.
I'm getting ready to send my two rolls off to be processed.

The company is Double Exposure Ltd.

I started using them in 1982-83 because they were one of the first companies that would send your processed film back with a floppy disk too. Way before I could afford a digital camera. The scans weren't very good, but they did work on a computer. They were in a *.SFW file format so back then you had to use their software. IrfanView will now open them and convert them to *.JPG
