Preston Park Hall, Museum & Grounds, Steam Locomotive, Stockton on Tees, England. Part 1.

The park is located next to the River Tees and is very popular and hosts many events throughout the year.
The land originally was a private Georgian residence with large grounds.
The Hall was built in 1882 when the estate and lands were sold to Robert Rooney for the sum of £27,500. He was a wealthy shipping and industrial magnate, who demanded a home to befit his status in society. Major alterations were made adding a Winter Garden, ballroom, entrance porch and extensive landscaping of the parkland. The walled garden was used for growing vegetables and flowers, I will post in part 2.
In 1937 the Hall and Park passed into the hands of a number of companies before Stockton Corporation purchased them in 1947. It officially opened as Preston Hall Museum and Park in 1953. The world's first passenger railway ran through the grounds beside the main road in the 19th century until 1852, there was no station.
The steam locomotive, wheel and other items came from Head Wrightson which was a big heavy industrial firm based locally founded in 1840 and closed in 1987. They specialised in the manufacture of large industrial products such as fractional distillation columns. It's early products were made of cast iron or wrought iron and were used for boilers, railway chairs, naval ships and many bridges across the world.
Unfortunately no one could give me any information on the pieces on display.
