Carolina Wings Loc: Flew from North Carolina to Pennsylvania

I've been too busy lately to visit my Eagles on Spring Creek...but today I spent some time on the creek and found the female who seemed willing to pose for me on this dreary overcast day

Sony RX10 III
ISO 640
Aperture f/5.6

Hi CanonShot...yes I do...but I need to get a tripod or monopod. I hate dragging one along...but I think I need one when I take videos!

Jan, as my wife and I both found out, our birding videos "jump" a level when we use a tripod. We even have a smaller tripod for our point-n-shoot camera... which makes a huge difference when we do mini-videos of hummingbirds on salvia (black & bloom), etc.

Great shots...I would be interested in your camera settings...?continuous, lock on, area of focus, single shot or multiple FPS?

Thanks tinplater...I'm so pleased you liked my shots! I usually use spot focus and continuous...although if I have a photo of two of them I often switch to expanded focus. Once I focus on the bird it generally locks on if I can follow it. All photos were taken at 600mm and handheld. Sadly the focus is much slower than my Canon 7D MKII...but that's to be expected with a bridge camera. I can tell you...I really miss my Canon 7D MKII for flight shots😰
