I made this photo of Elvis Presley in the Boston Garden Nov 11, 1971. A historical capture because it is the only time ever that Elvis Presley appeared in the Boston Garden, Boston, MA. The General Admission Ticket cost $10.00 and was giving to me free to make photos of Elvis.

This image was made from the first balcony looking down onto the stage. Elvis turned and walked towards me and I made this keeper photo of him with my Hasselblad 500c & 250mm f5.6 Sonnar Carl Zeiss lens with 200 w/s Matador flash and Vivitar 283 flash fill off camera, a flash device I made years ago. Today there are portable flash units with two flash heads built into the same light. I did the same thing 40 yrs ago!

I don't follow news events like I did in the past. But, all you guys can do the same thing. Especially in your home town. You do not have to travel world wide to make a classic keeper photo image! CIAO, AP

Elvis Presley is still highly talked about till this very day. Years ago, John Lennon said: "Elvis Presley will never be replaced!" Glad he caught your eye, are you from Memphis, blue-ultra? AP

My wife and I saw him in Tucson before his death that picture you took shows him as being well over weight which is how he looked when I saw him. Thanks for posting. But I must admit it was a great performance just the same.

RichardSM, Thank You for your response. I have to agree, Elvis Presley is a professional performer. He is still with all of us especially that great sounding voice! AP

I have to say DaveO, you saw him towards the end, I bet you could not believe how good his voice really is in person. He surprises everyone! AP

It was quite exciting see and hear him! I still listen to some of his movie soundtracks.

I have liked Elvis since he first burst onto the scene. I still think he put out some of the best music ever. He died way to young. There was a lot of music still left in him. You certainly do have a keeper photo. I hope you have it framed and hanging some place in your home.

I agree with you, Tikva! I love hearing Elvis sing. And yes, I have a beautiful color framed photo of the KING. When others come over and see it, they can't believe it's really Elvis and I took the picture! AP

He had so much potential but was manipulated and made bad decisions. That happens to so many in his position. I give thanks every day that I'm not talented.

Jerry, people claim they wish they could become famous. Elvis Presley had nothing and became renowned world wide famous. He was the best but had to live a life different from ours. I have read in the past that he had to rent a whole movie theatre to see a movie with his friends. Couldn't go anywhere by himself.

He was the greatest, and, as John Lennon said: "Elvis Presley will never be replaced!" AP

"Rich and famous" is a very bad wish.

"Rich and Famous" is not a bad wish, it is ones thoughts to continue in life and become a better human being! CIAO, AP
