If you don't have solar glasses, you can do what people did before they existed - improvise.

Yeah you would need a very long focal length lens (a telescope) to project a large enough image to see well.

A good tip. What we all should remember is that this event will be covered by all of the News agencies in detail. I suggest that we should all watch this solar event on TV as it happens. That will be the safest way.
