I am interested in photography and have purchased a Canon t6i. I find I am not a fan of taking a lot of pictures of people but more of nature. Is this unusual???? I know a little about ISO, Aperture and shutter speed. I enjoy looking a everyones pictures and their vibrant color, which mine tend to not have. I could use some pointers on how to capture more of the colors. I also like to try to capture different effects. This is a picture of some of the trees behind my house.
Welcome to UHH angels64048, glad you joined us. Liked your first post. There will be many things you will learn about photography, your camera and software that will enhance your images. Do you shoot in RAW? Many people enjoy different aspects of photography, I happen to enjoy shooting "street" photography so I see nothing wrong at all with you liking nature photography.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

Thank you...yes I do shoot in RAW and I prefer to shoot in manual...and boy am I thankful for digital photography. I would end up going through a roll of film and end up with nothing. I look forward to improving my photography with this forum.
Welcome to the forum.
And no, not unusual. (I prefer landscapes.)
nice shot and well presented as an abstract.
The triangle series which was featured here about 8 days ago is your best bet on the three keys to photography.
How would I find a topic from 8 days ago? I would like to take a look at the Triangle Series you referred too.
Hi, Angels64048, and welcome to the forum! Most folks have a preference for a particular genre of photography, so not at all unusual that you do. And you may even find that preference might change as your experience grows. Have fun!
Welcome to the HOG.

Hello angels 64048 and welcome to the hog pen. My opinion is any genre of photography you enjoy is great. I took an online course at website
www.udemy.com presented by Jared Hill. It consists of 37 lectures and will take you from auto to manual with ease. The course is 4.5 hours long. You can watch all at once or come back and pick up where you left off any time you please. It's designed for the beginner and I believe you will find it a delight and extremely helpful. It was for me. Here is the best part it's FREE! In addition you will find many other photography courses teaching just about all kinds of photography. Some free and some paid. Go to this site and check it out. You can thank me later. Good shooting to you!
Welcome to the Forum, enjoy.
