Good video on whether to use UV or clear filters or not.

I know this subject has been tossed around a few times on this forum. But I thought Phil Steele's take on it interesting.
Please let's not get into any nasty debates on this, as I think the decision to use filters or not is a personal choice.

If you didn't want to start yet another debate on the virtues or the lack there of, of UV filters on a digital camera, then why did you bring it up?! Everyone who understands how the digital photography world works knows there is no image relevant advantage to using a UV filter. If someone believes there is then that's OK also. If someone wants to use those filters to provide extra protection against dust and dirt, it's their choice.

I thought this would be good for some who are kind of on the fence about using filters or not. I am seeing a lot more new people on here who are just now getting back into photography and thought this would be informative to them.
Not everyone here completely understands how the digital photography world works, as you state.
