Why is that Dave this is a very good ebook Steve did a lot of research and presents it thoroughly, and it has everything to do with photography.

Guess you jumped in late and haven't followed the thread.

I see it now always someone that jumps in on a legitimate conversation to foul it up, sorry if it seems like I jumped on you.

I did not mean to sound to critical. I should have let it pass when a few persisted in jumping in to criticize an earlier post made by someone else. You are certainly a valued respondent.

More and more like the Attic every day...

What *is* "the Attic,"? and to whom are you addressing this comment? The defining info says you're "a regular here." Could you be more precise (and helpful)?

Those who are guilty know who they are. The Attic is another forum on this site that is theoretically the place to bring ill behavior, politics and disparity in lieu of contaminating other valued forums. As such, I will withhold further comments. The sniping of a few got the best of me and I overreacted.

I know how it is, I got sucked into a couple attic discussion yesterday and today I have been trying to not get involved but sometimes a person just has to speak up.
Have a great day, I would be out today but monsoon rains coming down don't want to get caught in a flash flood.

I recently bought this and have to say its a great resource! Easy to read and well written. I'm relatively new to photography and sure wish I'd seen it sooner.

This is my first post but I have been lurking for quite a while. Its a great source of information (eg. this book) and I thoroughly enjoy looking at everyone's pictures.

Do they explain why the Canon AF system is usually better? Sorry, I had to rub that in. Yes, I'm a Pentax shooter, but I don't do Sports or Wildlife much where Canon seems to excel. I'm more a landscape, close-up, and general photographer and lifetime Pentax user. Yes, I do own Nikon View Camera and Enlarging lenses. Yet on the other hand I find that my WB is right on with my Pentax cameras, more so than my many friends I shoot with using Nikon and Canon cameras. They have to fuss more with CC than I. But then, I have not shot with their cameras. Perhaps it is the photographer an not the camera, but I really don't think I'm all that better than my pals as some of my pals are excellent shooters and competition prize winners. I'm not into competition, I shoot to please me.

I'm sure it is a good book for you.

The "what" is understandable from the post Title.

May I respectfully ask: What is the "THIS" that you recently bought?

By the way, what's the point of telling everybody you like something if they don't know
what you are talking about, Rose?

I shoot both Canon and Nikon and I can say that the 153 point AF system in the D5/D500 is far better than Canon's best (I have a 1D MK IV). The new canon AF system is very good - probably even a touch better than the previous Nikon system (found in the D810, D750, etc), but it just can't compare to the 153 point system in the D5/D500. Noticeable difference in the field. That said, they do like to leapfrog each other, so who knows what Canon has up their sleeve for the next salvo!

Good deal. As you see I'm somewhat respectful of all brands, they all have good and bad points ever changing. Different models, different uses. But I do like teasing the mass market tunnel visioned "Niknon" fans (just those specific ones) a bit at times.

While the book is a must buy; at this time all my photography funds have been allocated to saving for the 850.

The page at the top is titled "Secrets to the Nikon Autofocus System - ebook by Steve Perry" -- everyone else understood. How are you reading the UHH? On an abacus? Geeze, and I thought Frank Zappa was dead at all 200 Motels too. Just kidding! Now that we've gotten that out of our system(s), lets see what Steve Perry has to say about his new eBook.

Why does that name sound familiar?
