Yes indeed. I have a copy of that movie in my collection. A friend of mine, racing driver Brian Redman (now retired), was one of the drivers in that movie.

Cool that you know Brian Redman! Here's a 917 from a recent Porsche exhibition at the NC Museum of Art.

Rumor has it that the car will fetch over $2,000,000. That 917K (K is for Kurzcheck which means short tail) is unique in that it had a variable rear flap in the center rear wing to increase down force in curves. This variable flap version raced only one year at Le Mans (1970 I think) and then that version was band thereafter. A truly legendary Porsche model.
