Wife and I both use iMac 27"; I print with a Canon Pro9000 Mk II and she with a Canon Pro-100. In preping for a contest she found her Pro-100 to be "off line." We rebooted everything, checked all connections (power into printer as indicated by light on front), printer and computer connected and double checked, computer is on the internet, showing on-line. All inks are full. We are out of airspeed, altitude and ideas all at the same time...the contest is in two days and she needs her printer (she could and will use mine if necessary, but obviously wants to get her own gear up and going.) Any help would be most appreciated.
Are you using wifi or hard wire to connect?
Whichever it is, try the other way.
My preference is for hard wired because all kinds of things can interfere with or jam wifi (radio signal) in including many appliances, AC, cell phone, neighbor with CB or Ham radio etc.
We are hardwired. I always like to see things connected properly! Thanks for the response. But we did try wi-fi and same response.

Do both printers show in system preferences?
Thanks to you for answering. I located the problem, and it may apply to others in the future as it is so utterly simple. The signal cable to the printer was inserted upside down! I wouldn't have
thought that possible, but in trying to cover all the bases I unplugged the cable and noted that looked a bit strange. A closer look revealed the cableway inserted 180 degrees wrong. Once
that bridge was crossed the printer operates just fine and my better half can continue preparing for her entry. (We have entered about six shows in this particular gallery; she has won three
firsts, a second and two HMs. I have won the right to carry her photos home, along with mine, which BTW have won naught other than one HM. (BUT, I sell more than she does...)
Thanks again for answering!

Now how did it get put in that way? Has Cousin Murphy visited lately?
She wins ribbons, you sell prints. Shows the difference between photo contest judges and real life people who want pictures to hang on the wall.
Can the two of you post a few pics for us to see? One of the main reasons for this place is to look at and share pictures. I would esp like to see her winners and your sellers to try and figure out what makes each what they are.
