I'll see bcheary's Statler Bros and raise him a Ray Stevens-esp for Sunday

This one is just right for Sunday. And yes I and my family are religious. 4 grandparents - 4 different churches. If anyone is offended I am sorry but God gave me a sense of humor.

Interesting you & bcheary chose those songs to post. I have them, amongst a couple thousand others, on my mp3 player. Both of them played while I was getting some light yardwork done this afternoon. Very much like both artists.

I have his "We The People", a lot of political commentary and anti-PC stuff. Hint he is a conservative of the Tea Party variety. He has also done gospel and love song CDs. I was just listening to "Power Tools".

Ray Stevens never fails to cut me up. What a character. Those kids with a squirrel reminds me of a time back in my youth in South Africa where we had the old wooden type school desks with a lid where we kept out books and pencils etc. One of my buddies had a habit of sitting down and then barely open the desk lid while slipping his hand inside and feeling for his book and slide it out. One day we put a large African chameleon inside his desk. The day he came into class and did his usual thing except this time his hand encountered a pissed off chameleon. He jumped out of his desk with a horrific scream which set off the classroom and not to mention scaring the crap out of the lady teacher (Miss Love). Of course we ended up with detention but it was worth it. Thereafter my buddy always opened his desk before putting his hand inside!

One of my favorite videos, and a song I play on my car radio when I travel. Thanks for the laughs, Robert.

I too love this stuff. I've been collecting music, and later on videos, for over 40 years. About 13 years ago, Vince Gill & Randy Crowell of country music fame formed a group called "The Notorious Cherry Bombs." I humbly submit this one for some rural Wit & Wisdom. Enjoy this one full screen.
