In Texas they are called Kolache and they been around for a long time the Germans invented over a hundred years ago!
Well, with all the past history, they should sell very well for Trader Joes. Now you've got me wanting to try them.

My wife slits the dog, puts in a piece of cheese, wraps in in a Pillsbury crescent roll. Bake, eat.
they have been eaten in China for more than 500 years.
Like pasta - lots of things started in China that you wouldnt expect.
Chinese very much into pigs (in blankets) and dogs.

In Texas these are called klobasnikies. Kolaches have fruit in them.

By the way Trader Joe's is a California store actually it started in Pasadena,CA they sell food products from all over the world with their twist on it. I love there coffee especially the Columbia brand. Also they sell a few brands of Gorgonzola cheese I like it fresh on salad's .
