I'm wondering if there are any Maryland Residents out there in the Montgomery County OR Frederick County area who would be interested in forming a photo group? I love wandering around random places to take pictures, I didn't know if there was anyone else who'd like to join me? Would love to make it a regular thing and it could be either during the week or on the weekend....

Annie B, I am in Maryland, though in Baltimore County. I would love to join your group, but a lot of my time in photography is on a catch-as-catch-can basis. Planning and coordinating with others is difficult. But I did not want to ignore the post from a fellow Marylander!

Meetup groups are very popular now. People form Meetup groups for just about everything. For, I think about $15/month you get your own website that you tailor for your group. For that, you can open up to three meetups. I'm a member of twelve photography meetup groups. I'm a member of the Virginia Beltway Photography Meetup. They do photography outings all around the Washington D.C. area. Do a Google search for them. They're going to Meadowlark Botanical Gardens tomorrow. I want to go but I can't make that one.

HI! My wife and I live in Toronto and would love an opportunity like this! My daughter and her family live in North Bethesda (Rockville) and we're there visiting quite often. Next weekend for example to spend Canada Day and Independence Day with them. Good luck with the group formation, sounds like a great idea!

Hi, I live in Maryland's Montgomery County. There are number of Meetup groups and photo clubs in the DMV area, including Frederick, Gaithersburg, Bethesda, Silver Spring,
etc. I belong and participate in several but probably would also be interested in such group.

If you're in the area for an extended period of time keep in touch you never know if this idea will take off....
