This one is a yearling (birthdate on the ear tag). Not yet old enough to bear young, so no milk yet.

I grew up on a dairy farm and we treated all our girls like a member of the family. The heifers were conditioned from the time they were born to be handled before they were bred so they would not be skittish after they calved and we needed to milk them.
