Printer problem.
My MacBook Pro and my husbands MacBook Air are having a problem having information printed. We have reset through Printer and Scanner both Mac's. We cannot print anything. The other day both were working fine. We have two printers an older Canon MP490 and a Canon MG 7120. We cannot print to either one of them.
Thank you for your help and consideration
Not to start an argument, but....
Gee, I have not had that problem with my Windows PC :)

Cute.
My husband who was in Force Recon USMC has an insignia similar to yours. Of course, as you know anything else pales in comparison to the Marines. :)
Did you upgrade the Mac operating system just before the printers stopped working? If so do you have the latest drivers for the printers downloaded from Canon.com?

Did you try uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer software (complete with all upgrades). The software may have gotten corrupted. Though having both do so at once seems strange.
The other thing may be an upgrade to your OS that does not work with the printer software.
Also, are you printing hard wired or wifi. If wifi than maybe your wifi hub has the problem. I know of a case where someone's wifi went out and nothing fixed it. Then they happened to turn off a new electronic device (seem to remember it was an air purifer in the room with the wifi hub) and suddenly they had wifi again. The device was putting out signals that were jamming the wifi.
FORTUNATELY you have Canon printers. Their customer service is EXCELLENT!!!!!! give em a call.

The printer was working fine last week. Not so much 4-5 days later. No problem with the wi-fi. I uninstalled reinstalled. Zero.

Nothing changed but the day. Yes, I did go to Canons site and reloaded.
To all who offered their help. Thank you. I guess if you keep punching enough buttons the problem becomes solved. It is. Once again, thank you.
