I have been practicing with my Canon 7D camera and Tamron 150-600 lens this week.
These shots were captured at a local pond near Salt Lake City.
(The growth on the beak has something to do the mating ritual)

Phil, you did a great job of capturing that pelican. That 7D is a great camera body, and the Tamron 150-600 is a lens that I'm seriously interested interested in.
