Hi everyone,
I was a fairly active hobbiest during the film era but took over a decade off. Re-energized and looking forward to getting back involved. Picked up a used D90 in good shape, real cheap. Getting familiar with all of the new features. Years ago had a Pentax LX, great camera but few options. Don't know if I'll ever use all of these features!
Looking forward to talking with others about all this stuff and the art of picture taking.

Welcome to the forum. It was the yearning to own a D80 that got me back into Photography. Never got the chance to own one. Now have a D3300. Here you can learn all about using the features on your camera. Enjoy.
Welcome to the Hog Dave, enjoy.
You sound a lot like me. You never know how far it will take you. So much easier now in the digital world, and cheeper.
Welcome, Dave. You will probably find as you progress that you will enjoy those features that seem alien right now. Shoot lots of photos and practice using those features. You may find it fun to learn them and improve your photography while doing so. And it costs nothing! Have fun.

So less expensive! No more $$ for development and printing. That alone is worth it.
Welcome to the Hog Dave, enjoy.
Welcome, you will find many here who are helpful
Welcome to the forum Dave.

Welcome to UHH Dave, glad you joined us. I started in digital with a P&S then a Nikon D80 presently a D7100. My brother still shoots with his D90, it is a very capable camera. Several friends still use the D90 as a backup camera.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.
