What is a semi-pro? Someone who gets paid, but not very much? : )

Here is a good article about some very good cameras.

Does the patient really want a semi-pro heart surgeon, how about hiring a semi-pro plumber, and of course there is the semi-pro wedding photographer. So, just what is a semi-pro camera, I guess it is a camera that can be used by a pro or amateur, but I thought that's what most upper end camera's were. I know, how about a semi-pro umpire, semi-pro football player, semi-pro real estate sales person. How about buying your car from a semi-pro car sales man. I believe the term semi-pro is a negative one. Look, either you are a pro or your not, period.
When I did wedding photography, I used a Hasselblad and a Nikon F3 and F4s, but I also used a Nikkormat loaded with B&W film. Was I less of a pro because I used the Nikkormat? It's NOT THE EQUIPMENT STUPID, IT'S THE PHOTOGRAPHER.

It's a phrase, not a personal insult. You should consider some thicker skin. No offense intended, just a general statement, no a personal attack. It was not intended to be a judge mental statement on a personal level, but a general statement that the equipment does not make the photographer, rather, the photographer makes the equipment.

I figured the Canon 7Dll would make the cut.
Thanks Jerry.

Maybe its a camera that takes pictures most of the times, but does not do so on occasions. Not ready all the time, like a pro, but, hey, sometimes!
