Hello,
I've been taking photos for over 55 years, both for pleasure and for monetary considerations.
I've photographed behind the Iron curtain when there was one, and in other foreign countries that were much friendlier to photographers.
Like many, I started with a point and shoot Brownie camera and worked my way thru a number other brands, including the Nikon/Kodak cameras.
Today I shoot for my own pleasure, using an iPhone and a Fuji camera.
I don't consider myself to be an "expert" in photography, as my knowledge is all self taught,
learning as I needed to from various sources as projects dictated.
What still remains constant for me is that this is an art form, and that the person behind the camera is still the most important part of the process, not necessarily the equipment that is being used to get the image, and probably like most, I'd like to know the lens, ISO, shutter speed and F stop to get a better understanding of the image I'm viewing, but can still enjoy an image without that info.
Always interested in learning what others are doing, how they are doing it and what it really took to get "the shot".
Looking forward to spending some interesting reading time on this forum and maybe being able to contribute something as well.

With 55 years using cameras you surely have a lot of information to share. Welcome to the forum.
I could not agree more, it is the person behind the camera who takes decisions. The rest is his art and vision.
Welcome! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Happy shooting!
I agree 1000 percent, to often many people loose site of the fact that the person behind the camera is the most important part of photography and they place more on the technancial portion of photography. If you don't
develope the artistic side than the rest is meaningless.....Welcome to UHH..........Jim M
