Hi all,
Been carrying a strap around my neck for many years, have been shooting recently for MaxPreps but will not consider myself as a professional photographer. If anything a semi professional and straving to get better, thus my joining this group. Shoot mainly sports for high school, indoor and outdoor. Looking to elevate skill set and knowledge in photography... And the surrounding world associated to this life with the glass eye.

Welcome. I'm new here to. I recommend not getting hung up on the whole professional vs. amateur thing. Professionalism isn't quite the same thing as professional and being a professional isn't necessarily the mark of a good photographer, just one who is able to sell their work. I've known many amateurs who produced fantastic work and many professionals whos work was lackluster at best.

Welcome to the UHH! There's lots to learn here and many beautiful images to be inspired by. You can ask questions and get answers that are often correct but read all the answers before you decide.

Welcome to UHH pjacosta, glad you joined us. The forum has many sections, people, street, critique, close ups, macro, etc. One of the sections is sports. Click on the "Home" feature at the top of the page and see all the different sections. Subscribe to the ones that interests you.
