Your right Syl,
- it does not get any easier.
I'd rather be sick instead of them, they can't tell us what they are feeling. I have a maine coon whom i have to find a way to get into the cage to get him up to the vet- another one they dropped off . I have no background on him at all to be able to help the vet out . hes got a cyst that needs to be looked at and he needs to be clipped so badly. such a good kitty but yet still feral from being torn from his original home, where ever that may have been. Hes been with me a while and trusts me,but heaven help it if a stranger comes around- hes gone. Please keep me posted on Ted and i will keep him in my prayers.

All of our cats were strays that my wife took in. She took them to the vet and got all their shots and found homes for all of them. The one I have now is from a litter of one of those she took in. She passed away a year ago.

How sweet! Good for you. I hope you find good homes if you don't keep them all. Nice shots like these should help place them.

about 3 weeks back just before the major snow storm hit, someone dumped a gray kitty off.
It took a few days before i was able to grab her-him and bring it in the house. Once picked up- i discovered it as not a "Him" but a her and very PG.

Carried her into my office where i had it prep'd for her to stay. On the 9th, she delivered 5 solid gray kits the same color as she is.
They are growing like weeds- eyes are open and the bigger one is already playing with mom.
Here are just a few pictures i snapped of them.

Hahaha ... That is HALF funny. When my wife told me that she had THREE feral cats that she had saved in a big thunderstorm, I told her "Humane Society for them in the morning!!" Fell asleep on the couch, ONLY to be awaken at different times of the night, (and NO it was NOT my wife's doing,) with EACH one of them sleeping on my stomach! WELL.....
NOW we have ELEVEN, have built a 250 SQ. ft. cage that they WALK into from a hole in our wall, and WE have the privilage of "living in THEIR house!"
AND she started to feed ANOTHER stray and NOW that DARN fool has adopted US!!!! We are both NOT working (one semi, and one retired)
Can ANYONE suggest a solution? My photo college proffessor suggest a "CAT Book" (I hav ehad a couple images of them accepted by and in exibitions in LA, NY and Hungary. BUT a photographic CAT BOOK??? Seems like a BIG gamble...
My wife suggest making (and trying to sell) "cat prints" at local art fairs.. But I wonder if people would go for a whole tent with ONLY images of cats that do not belong to them!

If I ever have a pet that I need to get rid of I will drop it on your door step. Very nice of you to take them in.

I hate it when someone abandons unwanted animals, especially in bad weather. Being the first house on a rural gravel road I used to have dogs and cat dumped near my home monthly, It cost me a lot of money to take them to a shelter. I finally placed a hateful sign by my mail box about the dumpers parentage and what would happen to the animals (which was just an idle threat, caught hell from neighbors for it) but the dumping stopped, that was 30 yrs ago, the sign stayed up for about 5 yrs. Have neighbors across the road now which helped ( people won't dump if they think they might be seen).

Thank you, Don.
Mom and Kits are doing well and mom is now starting to put on some much needed weight that she did not
have before arriving here.

Hi Hal,

time just flys.

I am glad you have a little Buddy to keep you occupied- what a comfort they are.
