Thanks carly sue, It possibly is, along with St Paul Cathedral, the most instantly recognisable landmark in London? either way there are so many photo opportunities wandering either bank of the Thames its always an area of London I make a beeline for when ever I am there.

Amazing how one knows exactly where this is just by looking at a small portion of the skyline. Iconic image and done well. I like the darker clouds, seems so "London". Enjoyed this,Geoff.

Beautiful shot, Geoff. It looks like a painting, especially in the download. Love the red buses on the bridge and the dramatic sky. Nicely done.

Big Ben is the name of the bell; the clock tower is the Elizabeth Tower. Nice shot!

I would guess that more than 90% of Brits know that tower and clock as Big Ben. I doubt that most would know what Elizabeth Tower is.

Your right Delderboy, and the bell is Big Ben--Its a bit like Hoover and vacuuming, many many people still refer to the job as a hoovering the carpet?

Very nice scenic photo, Geoff. I'd love to see that in person someday.
