On the eve of the New England Patriots visit to the White House, star player Aaron Hernandez has committed suicide in prison. His murder case was not as sensational as O.J. Simpson's, but made its place in the new media. He had everything to gain. He gained fame and fortune in his youth. He chose an alternate path. Which ruined his life.

Not as sensational as OJ, but Hernandez's personality appeared to be far more volatile on a regular basis, than OJ's. He appeared to have courted violence and the seedy side of life an a much more frequent basis. I did not follow the case closely, but it makes one wonder whether this was always part of his life, if whether he tail spun down into it. A very talented athlete, and a very sad scenario, none-the-less.

The state or the federal system will no longer pay for another thug and support them for the rest of their lives.

Defiantly a sad waste of a life but he was a classic bully and that's where they usually end up.

He lived a double life. One as a famed football player, the other as a criminal. It is said that the loss of his father at an early age contributed to his criminal life with drugs and gangs. He murdered his girlfriend's brother execution style, and she still stuck by his side. Amazing. He was given a life sentence for that murder, but was found not guilty, not long ago on two other charges associated with murder. He did all of this before his death at just age 27.

I forgot he was just 27. At 64, it makes me realize how little I have accomplished in my life...

Accomplishment? Heck, at least you will be getting a Social Security Paycheck. And have the freedom to go places with your camera. And have fun.

Here is an accomplishment list, a law abiding citizen, probably a father, a husband, and went to work every day and your 64 years old and still able to get out and take pictures to me that's an accomplishment.

I wonder who is going to foot the bill to plant him.
