these cats are great

For their closing number on the December 18, 1963 airing of "I Hear The Blues" Otis Spann, Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Lonnie Johnson, Memphis Slim, Victoria Spivey, Willie Dixon, Big Joe Williams, and others perform "Bye Bye Blues‬."

*"I Hear the Blues" was one of the earliest British TV programs to showcase American blues artists. It was first aired in on December 12, 1963.

Mark,
I believe my toe started tapping at about the 4 second mark.
Good one.

I grew up listening to 'Jam with Sam' on late night radio in Chicago in the mid 50s. At 11:00 PM he started playing 'Blues' and you have brought back those strong, enjoyable feelings with this site.

Thanks

This is also available a DVD from the American Folk Blues Festival(?), I believe it is called. 3 DVDs with lots of great blues - Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson II, T-Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker, you name it. Well worth purchasing.
