Just for the heck of it My M86 in the Virgo Cluster with very light clouds.
3x300 sec stack 7 images were unusable. PHD was killing me in the light clouds.
Gain-0, Offset-130. Processed in Lightroom and Topaz DeNoise.
At least I was able to get a good focus with nice round stars.
I have a long way to go but I was able to get some images.

Still Good Craig!
Yes, the other night I got the really strange orange glow. I went to go see if somebody stuck an orange in my telescope.
Nope. Just weird glow on the drifting clouds. The HPS lighting mankind has covered his blackened asphalted world with being cast back by low drifting clouds.
And of course, we're down here trying to see through this folly.

Better daze are coming!

No. Our night off got side-tract when Grandma volunteered to watch the three littlest grand-kids while mom and dad took in dinner and a show.
They are great kids, but it's a two man job. Especially now the little one beginning to toddle and climb.
We all fell asleep about two minutes after Mia (1 YO) fell asleep.
I woke up around 1 AM and grandma was watching Bates Motel on Net-flicks. Kids all gone around 10 PM, I slept through it.
I wound up in bed around 3 AM, but never set up the telescope.
Today everything is packed in the RV and we are off for spring break this afternoon. OUR Spring Break! Nobody else wants to go, so we are going to the Colorado River by ourselves.
Granny's about going bat crazy and wants to get away. But she won't drive the RV, so I get to go.
I don't think one week is going to get "I'm Elmo and I Know It" out of my head though. Little Mia LOVES that!
So I'll most likely be out of Internet reach, or sporadic at best. Really roughing it. TV, Microwave, Air Conditioning, But probably no Internet...
Who knows, I might be reduced to visual observing. (I have the stuff, just never use it.)
I hope for clear skies for you my Friend, and good imaging sessions with your new camera!
I'll check in when I can.
Clear Skies!

You're off to a really nice start. I assume this is at f:/2 point oh my god I wish I could get this low?
It will fall together for you, it always has. Just be patient and have fun.

Hope you get this before you leave. Have a great time at the River. It sounds like you and Mama deserve a break from Elmo. I'll bet it's a great area for some casual seeing my friend. Oh is there a trip in the works to go to the desert this year in say October???

Thanks very much Jim. My very first 3 shots with a much more versatile camera. I didn't shoot in the f/2.3 wide configuration. I shot in the regular f/10. I have a long way to go to learn how to use the Gain and Offset functions on this camera. It is all about reading and practicing all the great information Brian sent me. I think it would behoove me to learn more about PS layers too.
