This is a pablum article not worthy of the paper on which it is printed. Check the last paragraph.

First, I thought that a day was 24 hours.

Second, the daylight hours are fewer in the winter than in the summer.

I have been hearing that the sun has gone into a lull in solar activity. Very few sunspots, if any, and so on. That means fewer auroras too for some time, unfortunately.
