hard of hearing?

I need to turn up my TV's volume high, of course my neighbors keep banging on the walls. LOL I just solved my problem. I have an older TV that does not have "blue tooth", and bought a TaoTronics, blue tooth adapter/headset. Hooked it up and got instant satisfaction.

I have been doing that for 20 years so I can stay up till 1 or 2 am so the noise doesn't wake up the wife.

I have connected my TV to my stereo. The sound is far superior to what any TV by itself does.
A bonus is that I can connect my headphones, and listen without anyone else hearing anything.
A real 2fer.

I use 'TV Ears'. http://www.tvears.com/google-landing.html?gclid=CM2lmJWk-NICFYKKswodEjAPKg
I have both the speaker and the Original analog headset version. They work great - especially the headset version. I can legitimately claim I didn't hear my wife.

I prefer to click on closed captions, although I have considered Bluetooth headphones. It sometimes shows background conversations. I don't know why all TV shows now have "background" music that is louder than the dialog.

Did you need this adapter?

I have a device that bluetooth connects the tv directly to my hearing aids. It is even better than head phones, I have greater volume control and hear a lot more clearly with the sound processed by the hearing aids.
Really happy with it. And I can disconnect it and use it as a stand alone mic at dinner parties. I set it in the center of the table and hear everyone's conversation. Even when I leave the table and they think I can't hear.
There s a second device that links the cellphone to the hearing aids directly, plus it has on/off and volume control and channel change buttons. Put the phone on auto answer and talk to myself while shopping, when someone calls me.

The technology is great, the down side is I no longer know what anything really sounds like, ie: birds and music as all sound is processed before I hear it. Or I cannot hear it at all.

My avitar is a picture of me standing by my M-48. Too many gun fights in that thing with the hatches open and I can no longer hear. Though I do get a tax free "return" on taxes paid each month from the government.

I, too, have something like that. Given to me by the VA. I have a small device that hangs around my kneck that connects to bluetooth devices. Works like yours and also connects to a little box (which is also the charger) connected to tv. As long as I have my hearing aids on, I can listen to the TV or music thru my phone and not bother anyone. I sometimes get funny looks when shopping. People think I am talking to myself. Mine is made by Phonack.

I have a couple Sennhiser (sp) wireless heaphones units. Plug in the xmitter into the cable box, or directly into the TV, presto, excellent sound. They makie a variety of units, so take a look at them all.
