Hi I'm a complete newbie to photography and have a Canon PowerShot SX20 IS camera? I will be using it for blogging. Can someone tell me if it's a good camera? Is it a dslr? I have no Manuel for it. I suppose I can download one from the internet. I'm so happy to have found this website.

Welcome to UHH. To answer your question, I don't believe that camera has the capability of changing lenses. If you're happy with it, it's a good camera.
You can download the manual for it here: http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/9/0300002359/03/PSSX20IS_CUG_EN_02.pdf

Welcome to the forum. Your camera is a Bridge camera, meaning it is incapable of changing lenses. Sometimes called a fixed lens camera. Your camera has a focal length to about 565mm, 12 megapixels, and is about 8 years old, and is no longer in production. However, if it still works properly, you can still do well by it. The current model of your camera is now the Canon SX60.

I have this camera in my collection. Actually it's a great camera, particularly for your stated purpose. I recommend using it. There may be a time in the future when you might desire a camera with a few more feature. You will know when you arrive at that point.

Almost any advanced camera can do what YOU want from it! Key word. . .YOU... YOU are the composer, it is YOUR eye that sees the composition!
Have fun!

Wow, an SX20, I had one of them several years ago. It's actually one of the few cameras I had that I sold. It was a nice camera for it's time, a high end point and shoot with flexibility. It made nice images. I got it for a good price and I sold it for a good price. My current SX series bridge camera is the SX60HS, the evolution to the SX20HS. Enjoy the camera and enjoy UHH.
