Hi,
42 year old married guy from devon in the united kingdom.
Ive taken the plunge and bought myself a Nikon P900 I'm completely new to photography but always knew I'd enjoy it and hopefully can get better and learn a lot from this great forum.
I'll probably be a reader more than a poster as my grammar isn't brilliant (as you can see lol) but I really do appreciate all the help this forum has to offer

Welcome Devon, UK. I grew up in a town next to Devon, PA, USA. Don't be to concerned about proper grammar here, if you've been reading, you should have noticed there's quite a few folks who post here that struggle creating coherent sentences let alone use proper grammar.
