Looks like a fun day Larry. When in Tuscon we love to go to the Sonoran Desert Museum to see the Raptor show. A great photo of raptor is a great photo of a raptor, whether in the wild or not, as yours are. Thx for posting.
Wow! Frame 'em and find a place on the wall. Great portraits!

Sat. was "Raptor Day" at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach. They keep several birds that cannot be returned to the wild and one day a year they charge admission to photogs for good photo ops - so it is win/win for all involved. This was early mourning starting at 8:45 - 10:00.
They had several raptors, but the Owls were highest on my list - as I have NO OWL images ! I would love to say I got these shots in the wild
- they are such amazing birds !
GEAR: Sony A77II and Sigma 100-300 f4 from bodypod or sitting on ground , most of these at 300mm, F6.3, 1/400-500 (just in case there was subject action/movement ).

just wow wow wow esp like the last one
Excellent close-ups Larry!
Excellent set,Larry! I love the owls, always looking wise, bored, sleepy or focused. Love the detail that allows you to see the plumage patterns. Altho' seeing them in natural habitat would be a great experience, I'm glad there is this sanctuary for them and a great photo op for many.
