1. Tried out the panorama feature. Easy-peasy!
2. The difference between grain bins and silos (Google): "Bins are vented, silver, corrugated steel structures fatter in diameter than silos."

Beautiful. Temperatures near 70° have gotten rid of our snow.

Thanks for commenting, Jerry. I don't like abrupt changes in weather, so 70 doesn't appeal at the moment, lol. But the sunshine sure has been a welcome change.

well you were singularly unsuccessful with the finding signs of spring part of your mission, but extremely successful in geting some really nice images. Your next-to-last is my favorite. Gotta love those leading lines.
Thanks for the lesson on silos vs. bins. Amazing what I learn here.
Just wondering what made you go to the Lumix (PM response fine with me !).

Very awesome set Linda!!!! What is all that white stuff?:)
Thank you for your comments, Sylvia! The smaller size and weight are definitely a plus. The sun is very warm right now, and 40 - 45 degrees feels a whole lot better than 30

Thank you, MM! I agree about how you just never now what extraneous factoid you'll learn via a UHH topic - lol.
I checked Consumer Reports for their recommendations. This G7 was mentioned, and then I saw it online at B&H used dept (where I've purchased a couple of used lenses). The lens was given good marks in another online article, and the focal length I already knew from my 18-135 mm Canon is highly versatile for what I like to shoot.
So far all is awesome!

Thank you so much, Erv! Yeah, I know, snow continuously on the ground since Dec 8 is a radical change from the past several years here. Enjoy your early spring!
