I am very new arrival in my new country, and even newer arrival to art of photography. My uncle has given me a Canon Rebel. How best settings to make great landscape and cityscape photographs?

Welcome to UHH and welcome to the US.
Generally, for landscapes, a narrow aperture (f/11-f/16) is best. For cityscapes f/8 is good. Those are starting points you'll have to try different settings to find what's best for you.
