Those veterans for the most part served well and went in whole. They gave their health and mind and body for this nations security. Then came home to utter rejection no help in becoming a civilian again, if possible. It is not racist to protect our borders and given Americans first shots at employment. Go to Mexico and see how outsiders are treated and even the deplorable treatment of the native American population there.

I agree war is to win and needs a reason and once the reason is stated cut the military loose 100% with no restrictions and win with the enemy in the 100% surrender mode with no conditions mood. Sort of like we did with Germany and with Japan except for the emperor who remained but was subordinate to MacArthur.
