Thank you Sue. Been playing with carving for a long time. I was 6 or 7 when my Grandfather started teaching me. And Janny brings them to life with her painting.

Another fine carving Erv.
Why not carve a chess set but using birds instead of the usual figures. No doubt you would have the Bald Eagle as the "King".

Thinking about it, It would make an interesting topic for members to select different birds for the various pieces. Just a thought.

I started on this one a few months ago. I just finish it this last weekend. This little guy always looked in the kitchen window so I took a picture of him. And this is his carving.:) I turned the bottom half and then carved him. I put a coat of white on him and Janny is going to give me a paint job one of these days.:)

Great job Erv.

I'm late for the party, Erv, but this is another example of your amazing talent, and together with Janny's lovely painting, this piece looks like porcelain. Beautiful work!!!

Cool, you both do wonderful work. Is this the male House Finch that you helped out one winter?

Thank you James!! I don't think so. But this one always comes and looks in the window where my chair sits. But I think that is because I started putting seed out there.:):)
