As "dark" as the history is (it appears to me to be a beheaded pope), it's a great photograph. Love the grittiness of it--which (to me) is very aprospro (did I spell that correctly?).

Apropos. The beheaded figure is St. Denis, who they named a basilica after in Paris. This is one of the sculptures from that church.
