Interesting topic. There have probably been more people killed in the name of religion over the centuries than anything else. All organized religions have had a go at it. Strange world we live in.

As "dark" as the history is (it appears to me to be a beheaded pope), it's a great photograph. Love the grittiness of it--which (to me) is very aprospro (did I spell that correctly?).

Apropos. The beheaded figure is St. Denis, who they named a basilica after in Paris. This is one of the sculptures from that church.

Thanks, Bob, I knew the word had a "s", just wasn't certain where! I have never been to Paris--but it is on my bucket list. 🙂
