This is quite logical. It certainly makes sense to me.

Several years back while on an Alaska 7 day cruise, I had breakfast four days in a row with a table of senior ladies. They were doing the same thing all summer! For the same reason. We were on a Princess Line boat, and they loved it. Great service, more food than they could eat, and all were friends who had been spending their summers cruising for the past 6 years. Makes a lot of sense. Hey, you gotta spend your time somewhere, why not on a cruise?

This is ridiculously misleading. If you are in need of a nursing home, it means you can't go to the toilet without help, can't take a shower without help, probably need lots of medications, etc. No cruise is going to do that for you. Also, Princess cruise line is low end. The link that Jerry posted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dWFKp-bJtk shows an 88 yr old woman on Crystal cruise line. She pays $175,000 a year which is more than a nursing home plus she is healthy.

But Berchman, the idea still makes me smile. I have worked in nursing homes as a caregiver and know the misery there. Even if a few can have this alternative- God Bless them. And you. Sandy
