I have always feared losing one or more cards after taking photos, next problem how to store them, I lost an unused 16 gig card at Disney World while on vacation by carrying it in my jeans pocket. I like the small hard plastic storage case some cards come in but the are not all the same thickness or size, no way to store them, a ziploc bag ins't a good long term solution. On my last vacation I was in Myrtle Beach SC and visited the Ripley's Aquarium I picked up a souvenir token book it's about 6"X4.5X0.5" with 4 pages that have space for 24 tokens/medallions/ or SD cards. Works great but now if I lose it I have lost them all LOL. Cost $5.00

I use Pelican hard shell-card-cases for my cards (CF). They are also available for SD cards. I have used them for many years and I'm very happy with them!!

Use one of these fastened inside your camera bag. If not put it in your wifes poket book clipped on.

I use the little cases you talk about but I keep them all in their cases in a separate side bag on my camera bag, never in a pocket. If I'm on a shoot that's going to last a while I'll carry an extra card in a pocket on my shooting vest. I've not lost a card yet.

I keep them in the small plastic cases they come in in a zipped pocket on the side of my camera bag. But... the reason for the reply is to say I also rely on luck at times. A couple years back I was at a motorcycle rally. In the main building which was a large log house, for some reason I had the mini SD card out of my phone. And I have no idea now why or how it happened but it did not get put back in my phone. Some sharp eyed person found it on the floor, came out and found me to ask if I was missing it. I think luck was on my side that day. I have no idea how she figured out it was mine unless perhaps she installed it in her phone to see what was on it.

Whatever case you have should have your contact info on it, I also write my phone number on each card.

I with speters. I have 2 CF & 2 SD card cases. Since I switched to using a CF to SD adapter in my Alpha 850, the CF cards are gathering dust.

Looks like a good solution if available in a color other than pink or salmon.

Seems your souvenir token book is a good plan you need to be careful you don't lose it though.
Personally I keep my spare cards in a dedicated pocket in my camera bag and when at home I put the cards in a transparent CD envelope and write details of what's on the card on a paper insert. This method tales up little space and keeps the SD cads safe.

One that I did not see mentioned is a velcro on case which can hold to or three in its pocket and you just velcro it to your camera strap.
