Vistaprint--They did mine. Great job, self-designed, very professional work, prompt. I'll use them again when I run out.

$9.99 for 500 cards either you design and have them print or use one of their samples to modify with your info.

I go to VistaPrint for specialized printing. I'm sure there's a local printer, and I would look there first. You can talk to a local businessman and see and feel the types of cards he has available. For something like business cards, I would deal locally. Of course, you can print them yourself, but they look like homemade cards.

Have you considered doing them yourself? Card stock is available in office supply and even in Wally World. And a bit more unique, select a photo and print it onto photo paper using a business card template, Then using a paper cutter separate, you have custom business cards with you photo and in small quantities so you can have a variety of photos on the cards. Bob.

I'll go with the VistaPrint recommendations. Mine was a few years back and my memory I'm sure is not good but what I recall is responding to an add for VERY cheap cards maybe $1.99 or something of that nature. By the time I got done with glossy, photo, printed on the back side, and I have no idea what else I got up to somewhere in the $25 area, but the cards were great and I'd use them again in a heartbeat. One thing you may want to think about is the back side. My card is black with a photo front and a small one on the back and with its black background you cannot write on the back. It looks great but a blank white background can be used for dates, times, and other notes. If I ordered again (I'm way retired) I'd still think that printed back DOES look great, but I might leave it blank.

I had mine done in Zazzle.com. They are more expensive, but there have many more options -depending how fancy you want to get. One way to save money is to design your card as you like and save it in your account. Then about once a month they have a time when they give a 60% discount. And at that time you order your cards.

VistaPrint ....also check out their ink less address stamps. Great for stamping the back of envelopes as a return address, stamp 'blank' invoice/reciept books, even your prints....
have fun

I used to print my own. Cards are 2 x 3.5 inches so I could fit 12 onto an 8.5 x 11 sheet of card stock. My current printer won't handle card stock (120 lb) but it will handle cover stock (67 lb). I just set them up with a word processor and print a few, then use a paper cutter to cut them apart. Eventually I got too busy and farmed the work out to a local printer. I don't spend enough to keep a local business alive, but every little bit helps. The printer does a lot of business cards so they get cut apart neatly and accurately, which I can't claim when I do that.

That's what I did. Printed a landscape image sideways on the left. The card stock I used had perfs for the cards, simply bend backwards and they pop out. Can't write on the back though because of how they are made, so I left a small space on the front for little notes.

As a graphic designer by trade, I could help you out with the design aspect of a logo or brand (I've done so for a few people here). If interested pm me and we can work out the details and I can share some examples of what I've done for others in the photography business.

In my experience (and my wife's who is an artist) Vista Print offers the best combination of quality and value.
