Last shot from my rented Nikon 200-500 with 1.4 teleconverter (makes it effectively a 700mm) before I box it up and send it back. I'll miss that big hunk of glass!

I really like it. A bit different than all the full moon pictures we see here. Cheers.

Everybody want to shoot the full moon, but the lesser phases offer light and shadows that make for a MUCH more interesting pic, to my eye.

Thanks, Jerry. I started shooting at 4am as the moon rose, but due to diffraction and light pollution, just couldn't catch a clear shot.
Finally got what I wanted at 6:13 am. No exotic locale: just stepping out in the back yard!

Thanks! Having 700mm available (500mm x 1.4 teleconverter) really made the moon an easier project!

I like it. Nicely done. Something different then the usual full moon pictures.
