Larger format sensors are appearing in the digital camera industry.

*Marketing departments are using the term "medium format" but the sensors are not equal in size to medium format film.

And about the same size and price as the Pro level DSLRs. This will take the crop vs FF and mirrorless vs DSLR arguments to a new level.

You are quite correct. But on the other hand, so are they. Anything larger than 24mm x 36mm and smaller than 4" x 5" technically is "medium Format". My medium format camera is a Mamiya RB67 so I feel your pain....

I thought medium was between view camera and 35mm but the term is not precise. That Mamilya is a nice camera. :))

I can't afford it. Medium format film however is within my range.
