With all the possible settings on a high end camera does anyone know the number of permutations available on a Canon 7d or 5d or equivalent Nikon models.

My old film camera have infinite number of possible settings. Its aperture ring is continuously variable.

I don't think anybody knows, but if it's actual permutations you're looking for, I think we need a lot more information here from you, unless you're just looking for simple open ended combinations, of which I'll bet Canikon couldn't tell you!!!

Maybe not but there still must be a finite number for each model.
