Yep, for a mere $335.04 you can become a member of the PPA and start up or down their path to becoming a Certified Professional Photographer. I have never had anyone ask "Oh, by the way are you a Certified Professional Photographer"? I guess I could reply no but I did sleep at the Holiday Inn Express last night. The only person that inquired was my accountant, "Exactly why are you paying the PPA each month ?". Yes, there are benefits. Some discounts are available to members, if you were a new member you could have attended Imaging USA conference in San Antonio, TX the conference just ended by the way on January 12, 2017.

I'm taking my CPP test this coming Sunday. The test is not designed to be an easy ho-hum-pay-your-dues and get certified. The written test is just the entry to take 4 more skill test. Several of you have slammed it but a CPP designation is an earned certification.

It's a great professional community, and it costs $220/yr if you opt for their indemnity coverage, otherwise it's $180/yr.

That being said, the question is why do you feel you need this? Send me a PM with some details about your interests, goals and motivation and I'll be happy to discuss this with you.
