Tom, I so enjoyed the tour and that's why I love this site, I get to see the world through the eyes of others!
Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you so much Angela for taking a look and commenting. I also have seen many places here that I will probably never visit in person.

Great pictures!
Brought back some good memories of time spent there getting a Masters degree at Trinity University. On your next trip, may I suggest you tour the Trinity campus. Their cafeteria, above the bookstore, has a panoramic view of downtown San Antonio and the Graduate building has beautiful, 12 ft.high, hand-carved doors. The whole campus is built on what was once a gravel pit and is beautiful.
I probably will never get back there so please take and share more pictures.

Thank you very much Floyd for taking a look and commenting. I'm glad my photos brought back some good memories for you. Thank you for the info about the Trinity U campus. I will make it a point to visit next time we go to SA.

I have taken some of the same photos in San Antonio's River Walk. Yours are much better than mine. Great shots.

Nice shots. It has really changed since I last saw it in 69 or 70. Love the river shots.

Very familiar with the Riverwalk. My first experience was in 1955 long before it became a main SA tourist attraction. In later years I travelled extensively to SA on business and became very familiar with the newer version. My daughter was married at an old church near the river and following the ceremony, the wedding party took a ride down the river. Enjoyed your shots.

Thank you very much Dean for taking a look and for your comments. San Antonio is quite a tourist friendly city.

Very nice shots. San Antonio is a great place to visit. Before I retired my work took me there about every 3 months. I always tried to stay at a hotel by the Riverwalk. I have had dinner in that Mexican restaurant. I was there in 1966 for basic training at Lackland AFB. I never got to see the city back then but I am told that I didn't miss much. It has become a very nice city.

Thank you very much for looking in and for your comments. I hope these brought back some good memories for you.

Nice. What lenses do you recommend?

Thank you very much Jim for looking in and commenting. I only used 1 lens for these, the one I call my "general purpose" lens. It is a Canon 18-200mm EF-S, f/3.5-5.6 with IS. This lens covers about 95% of my shooting needs.

I visited San Antonio in 1991 with the Brookhaven Choral Society to sing at a TCDA Convention. In my free time I went to the Riverwalk and walked all the way to the dam. My pictures of that walk are here:

Thank you David for posting this link. I will definitely check it out.

I believe part of an older Steve McQueen movie - "Runaway" was shot on that San Antonio River Walk. It looks like a beautiful place.

Thank you so much Jimmy for looking in and for your comments. I am not familiar with that movie, but the River Walk could certainly make a good setting for many different types of movies.
