That is an attractive building, the gray sky sets off the red bricks of the courthouse.

Nice the hear of your trip. Hope you have a good time here. Things have changed, the tours are no longer free for one. The crowds have gotten enormous that want to take the tours. We waited over 2-1/2 hours till our group was called. They say it's non-stop with tours departing every 15 minutes all day long. An amazing place to visit. I appreciate your visit, and now time to sip a little Jack Daniels myself.

Yes sir, I behaved...the county made sure to, by making Moore County a dry county. No liquor can be sold in this county (except for tourists at the distillery). Which is maybe why we saw so many local folks in the tour...no, just kidding.

Thanks Donna, Lynchburg has become a tourist spot, so getting a clean shoot without cars wasn't going to happen. Still, a fun little town to visit. The folks are very friendly.

Yes Karin, and a very unique color of paint too for a Courthouse which really did set it off.

Oh Thanks Angela, I used my HDR skills on this one because it was pretty bland otherwise.

Excellent shot and pp James, beautiful coloured building with a great moody sky.
It was a spur of the moment to do tour we had to wait for more people to turn up to start tour it took about an hour or so to do. We just received our 2017 calendar and every few months I get a letter from the Tennessee Squires Assocation as I am a Squire and a Plot Owner. And always have a full Jack bottle on hand. As for a dry state I asked at our motel where I could buy a beer after dinner was told I have to drive about an hour out of town to buy beer. I wasn't going to open my Bicentenial Bottle which I still have and probable will not sell so a dry night was had. When in Rome as they say.
