Selling my Tokina 11-16mm DX wide angle lens, Nikon mount. I purchased it last spring only used it roughly a half dozen times. Hoping someone else can get more use out of it. Asking 400.00, OBO!

I'm not positive, but I think the 11-16 is a DX lens for crop sensors. I have a 16-28 FX Tokina which works well with my D610. But the key question is, what camera mount? That I can't help you with.

Yes, it is for crop sensors. If we can find out what mount it is, well, for you Nikon users Ken Rockwell (you all love him, right?) says that in his opinion it is better than the Nikon equivalent. The Mark II version is $445-$450 new. If this is a Mark II it is an OK price. But if it is a Mark I a bit too much.

These are excellent lenses! I have one and the sharpness is outstanding. It must have a Nikon body with a drive pin in the camera body lens mount to autofocus. That means it will not autofocus on D5000 series, D3000 series, D40 or D60. If you don't mind manual focusing, it is still an excellent lens for those cameras. There is also an updated version that will autofocus on those camera bodies.

Would have been better if you had used it CAREFULLY half dozen times.

Actually I like his site, in great part he helped me decide to buy a 6D as my first Canon DSLR.
Yes, he is bombastic etc at times, but I have lots of experience at reading what is behind the bombast and jargon. 34 years with the Los Angeles Unified School District helped me hone that skill and tune up my BS meter.

Not when I first read it, and there was no picture. Unless I overdid it on the coffee yesterday?
