It is hard to believe that it is December in Kansas.

It's the same here in Oregon. I still have blooms on my roses and the Gerber daisies have flowers also.

It's been about the same here, Tom, with only a few freezing nights thrown in! I watched a Sulphur butterfly fly by on the first day of December!

I still have a few of them hanging on as well and I think this is the latest in the season I have had them. We should be getting some really hard freezes next week that will take them out. Hate to see them go.

The daisies, huh? Interesting. Mine crapped about a month ago.

That is what is weird. We have had at least two hard freezes before I shot these. The new blooms were going strong even today.

Thank you Sylvia. This is the only one that turned out with any hint of true colour. I shot a whole bunch of individual blooms that looked good in camera (with & without flash) and they all suck on my monitor. They all appear saturated with some offshoot of red.

Yep---for sure. Last season I spotted a beautiful large Sulphur in our sunroom in December or maybe January! We had brought a hibiscus in to save for the following season, and it must have been attached, although we had fairly closely examined it beforehand. Tried to save it, but not to be--think it lasted about 4 or 5 days!
