Ive seen this sitting on a lawn and stopped to take a photo and ask the owner what it was used for. I sort of had it right, came close. Take a guess and I will tell you if you got it right.

It looks like a sealed half oak barrel, with drainage plumbing, so designed to hold water. Possible a portable trough for pack animals, or similar.

Ok, its what the farmers used to water their crops. You can see the shaft the wheels are on goes through and has paddles that splash the water out the back. Water only goes out when it is moving.

A half barrel wagon, what else. Used to take up space in his yard and have photographers stop to ask what it is while they photograph it.
