Which virus protection do you find the best. Just cancelled my Webroot subscriptiion-to expensive. Thanks in advance

I have been very happy with Avast's free antivirus. It has caught everything so far and does not slow down the computer's operation. And I never want to be without Malware Bytes. It is great for catching cookies and other malware. I use the free version too, although I may upgrade to the very inexpensive version. It's free version removes malware. The paid subscription catches it before it lands on your machine. Most free stuff is worth what you pay for it, but these two programs are wonderful!

I've used Avast in the past and like it. I'm currently using McFee because it came with my new PC.
I also use Malewarebytes.
