Hi all just saying hello cos i have just joined the Hog. Was hoping for a bit of advice about showcasing my work. I've spoken to some art galleries but a lot of them are quite snobby and seem to look down their noses at photographers like its not "Proper Art." I've read on here about galleries that let you put images on their websites to sell as downloads or let you put photos on their walls but you have to pay for all this. Just wondering whether I'd be better off sticking to Etsy, Saatchi, DeviantArt and all that. Anyway heres one of my images, the steps at Tintagel Castle in Cornwall

Yes thanks I was thinking of a Wix site. Just thought a gallery might be better if my work ends up getting exhibited alongside well-known artists but anyway thanks for the welcome

Yes, art galleries can be snobby. In this area, some restaurants, banks, and other businesses display local art, both painting and photography. It's not a real art gallery, but it's something.

Welcome, to the HOG, you might want to check out Fine Art America, I think the first 30 photos are free, rather reasonable per year after that, Bob.
