There is something about the autumn in LJ that calls for black and white. I heeded the call.

Beautiful, a great place for B&W. I just returned home from your beautiful country last night. I was in Selo, Bled, Trenta and Lubjlana.

If only it were my country. I'm a Jesuit priest from Boston (originally a Pennsylvanian) who was sent here on request of the superior for about 10 months. Watching the campaign in the U.S. unfold with horror I am telling friends here that if either of the candidates wins I will most likely seek citizenship. You are right, it is a great place for black and white. Also very good for night photography, which is generally better in black and white because the streets are very safe. None of the men has any concerns about me wandering around alone at night with camera. We live a few blocks from the center of town (the Franciscan Church, the dark rose colored one) so I can easily go into the center at any time of night if free.

I love that you chose B&W for these, frjack! And I'm really drawn to the first image! I'm a sucker for patterns/repetitions and this just draws me in. Well done!

Thanks. The first one had to be in b&w. The windows were a dark blue from reflecting the sky and the outcropping things are turquoise. It was not a good color combination. Great pattern not so great color.
